The client thinks a hookup is a hookup. SealedScope makes sure every code upgrade and line repair is signed before you turn on the gas.

The existing gas line is undersized for the new appliance. A range that needs 3/4-inch pipe is fed by a 1/2-inch line. You can't just connect it. The whole branch needs upsizing.
Shut-off valves are corroded, missing, or the wrong type. CSST bonding is missing. Drip legs weren't installed. Every code violation adds labor and material to a simple hookup.
Client adds a gas fireplace, outdoor grill line, or pool heater connection to what was quoted as a single appliance hookup. Each new run requires sizing, piping, and testing.
Existing gas line is undersized for the new appliance load. Running new pipe from the meter or manifold, upsizing the branch, and pressure testing the system adds significant labor.
Missing drip legs, improper CSST bonding, no earthquake shut-off valve, or corroded fittings. Every code violation found during the job needs to be corrected before you can turn on the gas.
Client adds a gas fireplace, outdoor BBQ line, generator hookup, or pool heater. Each new run requires load calculation, pipe sizing, trenching (for outdoor), and leak testing.
Current meter capacity doesn't support the new appliance load. Coordinating a meter upgrade with the gas utility adds weeks and requires a complete system pressure test.
Pressure test reveals leaks in existing piping. Corroded black iron, failing threaded joints, or damaged CSST require section replacement and re-testing of the entire system.
Client is converting from electric to gas (or propane to natural gas). New piping runs, appliance orifice conversions, and regulator changes are required for each converted appliance.
Undersized line? Code violation? Open SealedScope, describe the required work, set the price, and note the specific code requirements.
Send the change order via text or email. Client sees the scope and cost. They sign digitally before you start additional piping.
Every line upsize, code fix, and additional connection is documented and signed. The final invoice matches the agreement.
